Lebih kurang Sharipah Aini
Ada juga mirip macam Mawi
Dia tu pun dulu pandai mengaji
Tapi la ni sibuk jadi penyanyi
Melayu silap ambik prioriti
Depa mengaji tapi tak mengkaji
Pandai dengung dan mana nak henti
Tapi makna ayat depa tak reti
Baca Yassin seminggu sekali
Setahun baca lima puluh dua kali
Tak masuk lagi tahlil dan orang nak mati
Tapi makna Yasin kurang mengerti
Kita digalakkan baca ayat-ayat suci
Kita juga disuruh kaji maknanya sekali
Baca dan faham 10 ayat setiap hari
Baru dapat mendalami panduan Illahi
Boleh membentuk kita punya peribadi
Agar membawa obor Islam dimana kita pergi

I browse your page often and I get "tickled" by the way you described some things which are always taken for granted. Keeps me amused. B3 (Ban Bin Bun) touched me deeply. I am Eurasian by birth but am a muslim. As a child, I have always been chided for my poor tajuid during "ngaji". All my friends have migrated to "ALQuran" while I am still dotting on "MUKQADDAM". I dont understand arab (we speak english and a little malay at home). So I getby by memorising all the ayats and doas. can be a mouthful at times. Did not dare seek explanations? Ustaz will say being disrepectful. So this went on for years, until I found a translation of the ALQuran in English. Now I feel so much better. I wish I could post this peom to Ustaz, but poslaju does not make trips to heaven. Maybe that why would-be converts are simply put off. Once again, thank you very much.

Thank you for being a Keris Silau blog's visitor. Most of the recent converts read Quran translation without reading the actual Arabic text but yet they were inspired by the Quran. Malays read the Quran very well but failed to grasp the full meaning and the message from Allah.
